Wheat Dosa

Wheat Dosa is one of the healthiest and popular breakfast recipes in Kerala, especially in the Malabar region. Its quick and easy to prepare at the moment we think of it, as we don’t have to ferment the batter. A lot of combination dishes are there for wheat dosa. Some of them are fish mulakittath, Shredded Egg/Egg Chikkiyath, Vegetable stew, Fish Molly etc.But my most favourite combination is with pure ghee and sugar. Instead of oil, sometimes I prefer pure ghee drops to pour on hot wheat dosas; and sprinkling some sugar also. Having a bite after rolling them with ghee and sugar, is one of my favourite “in-between” snack. Hope you also will love it. So friends try out this simple recipe for the next day breakfast itself.......

Ingredients:-
Wheat flour                  - 4 cups
All purpose flour/Maida- 1 cup
Egg                              - 1
Salt to taste
Water                           - for making the batter
Oil
Method:-
Mix wheat flour and all purpose flour/maida.

Make a smooth batter by adding an egg and required quantity of water. The consistency of batter is the same as that of dosa/pancake.

Add salt to taste.

Heat a non stick pan, pour 2 -3 drops of oil and grease the pan all over using a tissue paper. This is to avoid sticking.
Pour a ladle full of batter in the centre of pan, round it in the clock wise direction to get a circular shape. Don’t have to close with the lid.

When it starts to leave from sides, turn it upside down using a spatula.

After 1 min, turn it once more and pour 1 -2 drops of oil, and turn once again.

Press dosa/pancake lightly using the spatula.

After 1 min, transfer dosa  into a serving plate.
Prepare dosas with rest of the batter.
Serve hot with Vegetable stew, Fish Molly or Shredded egg etc....
