Purple Cream Pudding

Grapes are tasty, healthy and sometimes sour too. We are often uncertain of its sourness even though it may look beautiful. May be due to that, we don’t even consider it as a pudding fruit commonly. But I was excited on the thought of bringing its beautiful purple colour in a pudding. Thinking of a pudding with grapes, I was a bit confused how it will end up when combined with fresh cream, milk etc.  So I didn’t use it directly. I have boiled them first, extracted its juice and used the juice to get its flavour. Finally I got a wonderful pudding with an entirely new and different taste. I am sure that you also will love it. Try this delicious recipe and Enjoy.....

Ingredients:-
Black Grapes            - 250 gm
Fresh Cream            - ½  ltr
Milk                            - 250 ml
China Grass              - 10 gm
Sugar                                     - to taste
Milk                            - for dipping bread slices.
Method:-
Wash Grapes thoroughly and boil in a pan without adding any water.
Cook until the grapes are mashed well.

Let it cool and then drain the juice in to a bowl. Keep aside.

Soak China Grass in water(just to cover) for about 15 minutes.

Then add 250 ml milk in to it and boil until it is dissolves completely. Stir in between.
In another large bowl, beat Fresh Cream with sugar.
Add the cold china grass – milk mixture.

Then add grape juice little by little. Check the taste in between. The amount of juice depends on the sourness of the grapes.

Add Sugar to taste and beat well.
Grease a pudding bowl with butter or ghee.
Dip bread slices in milk and press it using your palm to avoid excess milk. Otherwise, the pudding will become watery.
Layer bread slices and arrow root biscuits in between as the 1st Layer.

Or you can make a layer full of bread slices and another layer of biscuits over it. It’s up to you.
Pour Fresh Cream –China Grass Mix over it gently.

You can use some strawberry syrup drops to have some fun...

Decorate with any of your favourite dry fruits or nuts like almonds, cashew nuts, pista etc.

Keep in the fridge (not in the freezer) for 30 min- 60 min for setting.

Serve cool.

Tips:-

Try to use a stainless steel , glass or ceramic bowl for setting the pudding.
Dont use any plastic bowls.
