Coleslaw Salad




Coleslaw salad is one of the famous side dish of KFC .Semi cooked vegetables when mixed with Mayonnaise taste yummy !!! It is very easy to prepare this salad.
Preparing Mayonnaise and mixing vegetables in it are the only two steps involved. Mayonnaise is available in the market in a lot of brands. But I always prefer to make it @ home as it simple and tasty and doesn’t contain any harmful preservatives.


Let’s have a look on how to prepare Mayonnaise......
Ingredients:-
Egg                                         - 2
Pepper powder                        - 1 tsp
Sugar                                     - 1 tbsp
Salt                                         -1/2 tsp
Vinegar                                   - 1 tbsp
Any sunflower oil             - 250 ml
Method:-
In a mixer, beat egg, pepper powder,sugar, vinegar and salt  together. Meanwhile, pour oil drop by drop into it through the lid hole.

 Pour the oil and beat until you get the consistency of Mayonnaise like this....


 Transer it to a bowl.


Now the yummy Mayonnaise is ready.Keep it aside.
Ingredients for the Salad:-
Finely chopped Cabbage -  2 cups
Finely chopped Carrot    - 1/2 cup
Water                                   -  5 cups
Milk                                       - 4 tbsp
Take finely chopped Cabbage and carrot in a bowl.
Boil water and add salt to taste.
We need semi cooked vegetables. So for that, add boiled water into the chopped vegetables and keep the bowl  closed  for at least 15 minutes.
Drain the vegetables in a strainer first and then using a clean cloth like this. This is to remove the water fully.



Now, Mix the vegetables with Mayyonaise. Add milk into it.




Check sugar and salt and add if needed.
