Kerala Fish Fry with a twist !!!


 What is a lunch meal if it doesn't have a fish fry with it?  A very common, very simple yet very very tasty dish each time we have it. So here I am sharing with you the recipe of a fish fry with a difference but retaining all the true essence of a Kerala Style Fish Fry!!!












Ingredients:-
 
1) Any Fish                                         -  5 pieces or 5 no's (if they are small fishes)
 
2) Crushed Ginger and Garlic            -  1 tsp
 
3) Red Chilly Powder                         - 1 tsp
 
4) Turmeric powder                            - 1/4 tsp
 
5) Garam Masala                                 - 1/4 tsp
 
6) Pepper powder                                -  1/4 tsp
 
7) Vinegar                                           -  1 tsp
 
8) Salt to taste                                    
 
9) Oil for frying

10) Curry leaves
 
Method:-
  • Make a mix of all the ingredients from 2 to 8 in a bowl.
  • Marinate fish pieces in the mix .
  •  Sprinkle chopped curry leaves over the marinated fish.
  • Keep them marinated for at least 30 min. Even better if is one hour or more.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add curry leaves when the oil starts to boil.
  •  
  • Fry fish pieces carefully.
        
  •    Turn the sides in between
  •  
  • Serve hot with Rice.
  •
