Schezuwan Chilly Beef




Most Schezuwan dishes are spicy. So when it comes with beef, it tastes magical !!!

Preparing Schezuwan Sauce is the only important part in this recipe. But once you prepare this sauce, you can store it in the refrigerator and use as u need .







Servings : 3                Prep Time : 15 min              Cook Time : 10 min


INGREDIENTS:-

Beef slices cut into strips                      - 250 gm
Onion chopped                                      - 1 big
Ginger garlic paste                                - 1 tbsp.
Capsicum ( cut into cubes)                    -  1

Schezuwan sauce                                   - 2 tbsp. ( Recipe given below)
Soya Sauce                                            - 1 tbsp.
Pepper powder                                      - 1 tbsp.
Red chilli powder                                  - 1 tsp
Any sunflower oil                                  -  1 tbsp.
Salt to taste
Spring Onion for garnishing

METHOD:-

1) Cook beef pieces in a pressure cooker with ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp red chilli powder and salt.
2) After it is cooked , reserve the stock( wate left after cooking).
3) Heat oil in a kadai and add onion.
4)Saute till it turns pink.
5)Then add capsicum and sauté for 1 min.
6)Add the sauces and the stock water and let it boil for 5 min.
7) Add beef and pepper powder.
8) Cook for 5 min until the gravy is thick.
9) Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with spring onions.


SCHEZUWAN SAUCE  Recipe
















Ingredients:-

Garlic Paste                    - 5 tbsp.

Ginger Paste                   - 2 tbsp.

Celery chopped               - 2 tbsp.

Red chilli powder            - 100 gms

Mix in a bowl
                                          
Tomato Sauce                  - 3 tbsp.
Chilli Sauce                     - 2 tbsp.
Vinegar                            - 4 tbsp.
Sugar                                - 2 tbsp.
Salt                                   - 1/2 tsp
Oil                                    - 1 tsp

Method:-

Heat a little oil in a wok.....

Add ginger and garlic paste. Saute for 5 min....

Add celery. Saute for 2 min.....

Add the Chilli powder. Saute in a medium heat without it burning....

Add ingredients mixed in a bowl. Saute for 5 min.

Transfer it to a container. After it is cool, refrigerate it and use as u need....
