Green Peas Masala

We have traditionally thought about green peas as a ‘starchy vegetable’ that can’t provide much in the way of nutrition. But it’s time to change our thinking.  Green peas are fully loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients. The major health benefits of green peas are support for blood sugar regulation, heart health promotion and protection against stomach cancer. So include a lot of green peas in your diet, especially in your breakfast.
Here I am sharing with you a simple recipe of Green Peas Masala which is well suited with chappathi , puri and even puttu also.

Shredded Egg / Mutta Chikkiyath

This is an easy tasty dish which can be prepared in 10 min. I usually prepare it for breakfast with wheat dosa. That’s a good combination and is an easy way to manage the breakfast for those who are running out of time in the morning.

Fish molly

Fish Molly is a very popular Kerala style fish curry which is mostly served with appam. But my vote is always for ghee rice+ fish molly combination, the taste is just awesome. It is mild and delicious as the fish is cooked in coconut milk.  Usually, fish molly is prepared with King-Fish(Neymeen), but it is also tasty with Pomfret(Avoli) and Pearl Spot fish(Karimeen).

Dates Marie Cookies

Dates are highly nutritional. They have a lot of medicinal properties and are good for fight ageing , constipation and maintaining healthy skin, hair and muscle tone.

Here I am preparing a simple snack of dates with Marie biscuits. You just have to mix them together, nothing else as difficult.

As dates are a high source of energy, you can put them in your kid’s snack box.

Some kinds of dates stick in our teeth while eating. In such cases, they can be easily converted into these snacks and can have it without any teeth problems.

Vegetable Stew

Vegetable Stew  is  a healthy, easy to make dish in which vegetables are cooked in a thick and creamy coconut milk based gravy. This is the perfect combination with appam and is an apt choice as a starter curry for kids.

Delicious Butter Chicken

Butter Chicken is an Indian classic dish from the Punjab region which is now popular  in many countries all over the world. It can be made as mild or spicy as you wish. It is a full flavoured dish that complements the chicken well.

I still remember the day I prepared this dish first. Two years back, on one bright Sunday morning,  when I was about to prepare chicken curry for lunch, my husband asked me : " why don't you try  something different, like butter chicken?" .I searched in my handbooks for the recipe and I got an easy one. Although it was not a great success that day, I came up with a wonderful dish finally after the initial trials. Here I am sharing with you all the tips and tricks I am using to make it delicious.
